- Degree or diploma with a focus on communications or combined equivalent experience will be considered
- Two or more years of experience in a similar role, with responsibility for creating content, managing projects, and daily workflows
- Excellent written communications skills with experience writing for different audiences and mediums including web, print, digital
- Expertise in all aspects of storytelling, from brainstorming ideas to interviewing, writing, editing, and publishing
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Familiarity with website and social media account management, as well as email marketing tools
- Experience or training related to promotions/marketing
- Experience or training in media relations
- Excellent time and project management skills with keen attention to detail
- Available for occasional evening and weekend work
- Valid Manitoba driver’s license
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
